Property Spotlight: The Old Shop and Station House

We are excited to share our first property spotlight feature! Here, we will showcase two properties in the Peak District: The Old Shop and Station House. These two properties are full of character and just perfect for a break in the countryside.

We have hand-selected two ideal holiday lets for families and friends to spend quality time together. They are both within a 20-minute drive of the market town of Ashbourne, the Spa town of Buxton, Dove Dale, and Alton Towers. They are beautifully renovated and have everything you need for a relaxing stay. In this article, we explore these two stunning properties in more detail.

The Old Shop Cosy Cottage

The Old Shop Cosy Cottage outdoor view.

With views of the Peak District, this beautiful property retains many original features. As you arrive at the property, you’ll find the entrance through the back door, which leads to the lounge diner. The lounge diner has comfortable seating for six people, a wood-burning stove, and a smart TV. Moving forward, you’ll enter the spacious and well-equipped kitchen. On the same level, a separate laundry room has an additional fridge, freezer and a downstairs WC.

Heading upstairs, you’ll find a main bedroom with a super king-size bed and an ensuite shower room. There is also a twin bedroom/super king and an additional bedroom with twin/king-sized beds. You can just let them know the bed configuration you require. Finally, there is a family bathroom with an over-bath shower.

The property features free ultra-fast Wi-Fi (just under 500 Mbs), so it’s also a perfect space for remote working.

Need even more space?

Next door is Station House (sleeps 4), should you need a larger space for special occasions, larger families, or friendship groups. You could consider booking the two properties at the same time.

Pets are welcome!

They are happy to accommodate your furry friends as long as they are well-behaved. You may bring one larger dog or two small ones. They kindly request that you keep your pets off the soft furnishings and refrain from allowing them upstairs in the bedrooms. You are more than welcome to bring your pet’s bed and blankets for comfort.

Parking and car charging

Guests have complete access to the property and parking space. However, please be aware that guests staying at the adjacent Station House will also have access to their designated parking spot on the Old Shop driveway. Additional parking is available at the nearby layby or the Manifold Valley Visitor Centre car park on a first-come, first-serve basis.

An EV charger is provided for your convenience. Please contact us if you require the use of the EV charger, which will be provided for an additional fee. If necessary, Station House guests may also use the EV charger, provided prior arrangements are made. They kindly request that both properties use the charger responsibly and with consideration for others.

We think this property is perfect for families and friends looking to relax and explore the area. Find further information about The Old Shop and availability here.
