Visit Buxton Pavilion Gardens: These gardens are a proper local gem and a lovely way to spend a day. The Pavilion Gardens is a Grade II-listed venue showcasing Buxton’s Victorian splendour. They are spread over 23 acres and feature a boating lake, a miniature train, play areas, fountains, and wildlife.

Visit Buxton Opera House: A fine example of Frank Matcham theatre design, the Buxton Opera House offers a year-round programme of entertainment. It hosts a variety of performances, including opera, ballet, theatre, and concerts. Make sure to check the schedule during your stay!

Explore Poole’s Cavern: We love a visit to Poole’s Cavern. This magnificent Carboniferous limestone cavern is one of the finest show caves in England, featuring many extraordinary formations sculpted over millions of years. Mary, Queen of Scots, is said to have explored it! A visit to Poole’s Cavern offers the chance to explore a vast limestone cave system. Guided tours lead you through its fascinating formations, providing insights into its geological history.

Explore Buxton on foot: Buxton is the perfect base if you enjoy walking. We enjoy the Limestone Way and Monsal Trail, which are excellent walking routes through hills, woodlands, and historic landmarks. Buxton is ideal for gentle strolls or more challenging hikes!


West Road

The patio has outside seating for alfresco dining, should you get lucky with the weather. Best of all, the property is just a short walk into Buxton, which has an array of fantastic restaurants, bars, and shops.

There is free on-road parking nearby, and they welcome well-behaved pets.

Hollybush Cottage

Sleeps 8 | 4 bedrooms, 6 beds, 2 bathrooms | No pets

This bright and airy Victorian property is located in a quiet central Buxton Street. It’s just a 5-10 minute walk to many shops, pubs, and restaurants. It’s a spacious base perfect for larger groups of families and friends who want to spend plenty of time enjoying the Peak District.

The property enjoys plenty of natural light, with the rear receiving morning sun and the front in the evening. From the front bedrooms, guests can admire views over the hills. The property was refurbished in June 2022, and guests have full exclusive access to the house.

Hollybush Cottage bedroom.

A small secure yard for bike storage at the rear is accessible through the neighbour’s property. The lounge is a relaxing space. High-speed internet with download speeds of 30-40mbps and a strong Wi-Fi signal throughout the property are available. One of the bedrooms even has a desk for those needing a quiet workspace. There is plenty of on-street parking available at this property.

Spring Gardens

Sleeps 4 | 1 bedroom, 2 beds, 1.5 bathrooms | No pets

This apartment is just bursting with character! It’s right in the centre of Buxton, sleeps 4 and has everything on your doorstep. So you can park up, drop your bags off and explore.

The apartment is accessed from the free parking area, through a shared access door, and up two flights of stairs. You will see a hallway with a WC to the right as you enter. On the left side, you’ll find the kitchen area, and the second left leads to the king bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.

The spacious, light, and airy lounge is at the end of the hallway. Guests have full access to all areas of the property. This colourful space has everything you need for a great stay.
